The Sangean WR2 sounds a little better than Bose. It has more bass and treble.

  • im surprised the wave system has a built in subwoofer

  • The sangean also has better radio features!

  • I've heard the Bose Wave radio and like it but in my opinion it could do with a bit crisper treble. There is only a Waveguide/Transmission line on one of the speakers. If I were to redesign this, I would have Waveguide loaded both speakers, then attenuated the bass slightly (improve the bass efficiency by loading both sides although the radio would be wider). I would then mount some small horn tweeters facing upwards slightly above the main speakers.

  • EVERYTHING SOUNDS SHITTY THROUGH YOUTUBE!!!!

  • Veryy good song ;)

  • Sangean sounds much better. It kicks ass for a little radio like that.

  • i would know from having a bose wave that the bose wave would win any day, and also in the respect that u cant really do a (see which is better) on the internet because you just wont hear the enthersis of sound comming through the system, you need to be there to respect the sound differences!

  • I dont´wanr to disrespect you, but it is stupid to compare two systems based on some internet video.

  • Sooooo, it took like 30 years for someone to finally make a clock radio that sounds SLIGHTLY better than Bose. Not to mention it only has one LARGER driver in a much LARGER cabinet. Smaller drivers have better dispersion. I'd rather listen in stereo. Also take into consideration that this is only one type of music, a type Bose probably wasn't designing for. And note how sleek and clean the Bose looks compared to the button covered competitor. Very good video. I'm glad you made it!

  • Bose has been about marketing hype since the '70's. The speakers they built their reputation on (501 & 901 Direct Reflecting) were garbage back then. They use low quality drivers in aesthetically pleasing cabinets or radios(the Wave). You're paying for their marketing and advertising.
