shooting an AK47 on a humid day at 300 yards allows you to see the vapor trails that are created by the bullet's wake vortex disrupting the moisture in the air. It allows you to track the bullet in flight, almost like a natural "tracer". Sorry the quality was poor, I was in a hurry and using bad equipment and software, so it's pretty much a hack job on the editing and format conversion. The vapor trails are much more prominent in the original video, but you can see them well enough here. the best one is about 25 seconds into the video

  • holy shit i didn't know bullets were that slow

  • they are not. keep in mind that you are watching the rounds strike from behind and slightly to the left, so it appears to be moving slowly but it's going about 300 yards in the short time that you see the vapor trail.

  • How did you break in your rifle? Was the barrel chrome lined? How many rounds to break in or did you just start shooting like that???

  • I did not break in the rifle, there's not really a point with an AK. You only break in barrels on target guns and such. The barrel is not chrome lined.

  • Stupid ass video

  • @victor1566 You gotta be kidding me.......*face palm*

  • I can't really understand the point of a scope mount on an AK, considering that the AK is designed primarily for reliability and ease of use rather than accuracy.

  • WASR's suck, get off of welfare and you can afford a good AK

  • At 100m with my GP WASR-10/63, I get sub 1inch groupings with a 4 power mil-dot scope.

  • Not the bullet, it's the vapor trail following the bullet as it cuts through the thick Texas humidity

  • Ya i was thinking a Red Dot of some type, no magnification. Just using it for fast target acquisition.

  • which will only do you good for a few hundred yard, you don't need a scope for that. If you want to mount somehting put a reflec sight.
