Machine embroidery on ribbon can be difficult. It's hard too hoop and tightly woven. Compound that with metallic thread and you have a recipe for disaster. Discover how to work around these issues and get great results!

  • Yes, you would have to repeat the process as you move along the ribbon. As for the comment on grosgrain ribbon, the process is exactly the same. I chose this ribbon because it had trellis pattern to it.

    Gros grain is even more tightly woven and tends to pucker easily with normal density designs.

  • A higher hoop is better for holding fabrics and machines that have them provide a higher foot lift for hoop clearance. I hope that answers your question.

  • wait a minute. wouldn't you have to redo this as you move along the ribbon? What about the stabilizer?

  • super helpful can i ask hoop dose not come out freely you have to push the foot up further is that normal
