http://hometips.gregvan.com/10_things_a_homeowner.htm Before you even create a construction budget, make sure that you really want to go forward with any type of construction work that you're planning on doing to your house. Can you actually afford to build, remodel or make the necessary home repairs is the first question that you need to ask yourself. If you're planning on putting a $55,000 room addition onto your home and your payments are going to be $650 each month for the next 10 years and you're having a difficult time right now making ends meet, maybe you shouldn't put the room addition on. Construction budgets only work if they make sense and if you can actually afford to make the payments without going into debt, filing bankruptcy or even losing your home. Most people spend more time planning their vacations than they do planning on how their money is going to be spent or what they can actually afford to buy. If you enjoy watching our videos, leave some positive and constructive comments in the text area and we will continue to make more of them.
