thanks very much and LOVE the cats in the background;)

I got given a 3.5kg kettlebell, is this going to do much to build muscle and increase strength or do I need to get something heavier? I'm only just starting out with this type of exercise.

@Kitty8Tim Muscledriver, Dragon Door, Troy, Apollo, York.... those are all good or decent KBs you can find in the US.

I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude, but you are freakin hot as hell and you've got a sexy accent
I think I need to move to Ireland!
lol

how many cats are there wtf?xD

Thank you! I was looking for this very kind of tutorial so I could see what the form is with the moves. Most videos just "show" the move in real time, so I could not see what the hand, wrist and elbow moves are. Excellent, clear, and now I'm ready to try it.

I kept looking at the cats going up and down on the background!

so many kitty cats
If you are new to all exercise I would suggest 8kg - 12kg, if you have been doing resistnace exercise but are new to Kettlebells I would suggest 12kg - 16kg, but only as a guide. Try them first before buying a weight. I got mine in the UK, they don't ship to US :( Sorry. I'll find out if any of my friends know of anywhere in US.

Thank you for your videos, they are great. I am new to KB training and learning from someone who explains everything so well, and focuses on performing the exercise right instead of just going for the highest weight is really helpful! I have watched loads of your KB videos and feel I have learnt alot, thank you for your time and effort and please continue! :-D

I imagine the rotator cuff needs to be worked hard in conjunction with kettle bell workouts? Would you say this is true?

@sailbeyondthesunset Not unless you have an injury, no. KBs are great for building shoulder stability though.

@Kitty8Tim Cool. What sort of timeframe of rest should be in place between KB workouts? The usual 24 hours as with other regimes/equipment, or more?
sailbeyondthesunset 1 year ago
@sailbeyondthesunset Depending on what muscle groups you are exercising, I'd say 24 - 48 hours is adequate. But listen to your body, you will know if you need more rest. Don't overtrain either. :D
