I'm from South Texas and the violence has taken a major toll on not only safety, but travel, work, and overall way of life. In fact news reports must be edited to protect investigative reporters. U.S. officers have been killed, and don't even get me started on the pointless deaths of people in Mexican border towns. Once a place I often frequented, the border IS dangerous to say the least. Please do not base your research solely on what the major media feeds us because IT, sir... is bullshit.

They really have nothing to lose. My girl did jury duty on a murder case for a cop killer illegal immagrint who got a 2 year sentence and deportation. Thats it. A fucking cop killer. Most border families don't bother to call in criminal activity because the border patrol and police are USELESS. If THEY don't report it, it isn't included in the stats. The border patrol has to work hard to get good stats to look good, get raises, etc. They are far from the border where they catch the less experienced/dangerous border-crossers. There is a systematic PURGE of GOOD agents who are moved elsewhere when they draw attention to the gravity of the issue.
