If that is treu or not it still seems that the financial terrorists considered the Soviets a better (easier to deal with?) enemy for the future then the 3th Reich otherwise they would have turned against the Soviets and supported Hitler, and Hitler had many attempts to avoid conflict with the west so that option was certainly on their table.

They might started out with the idea that Hitler could be a usefull future puppet but slowly discovered he was more likely a threat.
