Ich bin ami, trotzdem würde ich sagen: "Ganz gut". Ich bin ein Austauschschüler in Deutschland und deshalb rede ich Deutsch jeden Tag. Man merkt die Fehler, na ja, aber Verständnis ist doch kein Problem. Viellicht hab' ich selbst Fehler eben geschrieben, aber egal: ich wollte nur sagen, dass ich mich freue, ein DEUTSCHES Video von ihnen zu sehen!

Hey Steve! I'm an 18 year old American dude interested in learning German. I am willing to dedicate 2 hours a day to learn to read and understand the language. If I spent 10 hours or more a week would I be able to read decently in 4 years or so? Do you have any recommendations if all I'm really interested in is just being able to understand it not really to speak it? I just want to learn it to read German texts and understand some shows. Thanks!

@JohnRater Your best bet is to register (free of charge) at LingQ and start using it. There is an unlimited amount of audio and text content there for all levels and on all kinds of subjects and you can also import whatever you want from the Internet.

Ihr Deutsch klingt sehr schön. Darf ich Sie fragen, wie viel Zeit Sie gebraucht haben, um Deutsch oder Chinesisch zu erlernen?

Deutsch habe ich über zehn jahren, zwischen 1987 und 1997 selbst studiert, das heist hautpsechlich Bücher gelest, Hörbücher angehört usw. Ich war auch manchmal in Deutschland auf Geschäftsreise in dieser Zeit.
Chinesisch habe ich während 8 monader sehr intensiv studiert in 1968 in Hong Kong.
