  • I think Buck did a great job with the solo in this song. Watching the video, I see that he's totally riffing within the melody of the song. That's okay in my book. He doesn't have to be a virtruoso (hope I spelled this right...if not, you understand!) to make this song really rock. REM is a band that gets you with smart, melodic, songs. Michael knows how to touch an emotion by using pin-point accurate lyrics. That's what's great about the band. So stop comparing their work to others!

  • GREAT song by a great band, but damn, back then I had no idea that Stipe was gay. I should have just seen this... embarrassing.

BUT, this is worth buying and/or watching because of Peter's excellent performance on it! Nice!

  • Awesome. Does any video exist of the Charlotte show where they did this with the Minutemen?

  • For whatever reason, it's kind of weird to me seeing/hearing someone playing a Rickenbacker on this song. Looks like they're having fun with it in any event.

  • Such a great song on its own - great idea for a cover.

  • this is basically the greatest thing ever

  • @ripelivejam Tom Verlaine must`ve got really proud

  • @ripelivejam wow!!! my favorite band playing a total classic from Television!!! Tom Verlaine should`ve got really proud

  • thanks man. Hey, if you have the whole DVD set on youtube, can you please send me all the links? I think there were 22 songs... can't right remember.

  • My respect for R.E.M just skyrocketed... great cover.... Stipe is sooo good... I like how the crowd is kinda... huh?

  • 2 of the greatest things ever combined!!!
