Deeley boppers, that dates it to 1982. I had some deeley boppers with bells and feathers on them, I wore them to go and see Russ Abbot at Gt Yarmouth, Aug 1982.

This reminds me of the Wii ads. The simple design, the adult playing it (and it being eric m is even better!) and the "simply more fun and games" motif is just like the Wii - returning back to the roots of what games should be - enjoyed by everyone :D Its amazing how it goes full circle.
