The great thing about the souten is that Rena can activate the robe without a contract from her master. which is actually the weakness for all otomes because they need to protect their masters, because of the contract they practically share one life.

@moonshinewitch404 ummm...if I remember correctly miyu explains that the souten existed even before the great migration whereas the fumi's gem was only known during the great war. If Rena was alive during Fumi's time and used the blue gem I think she would have been stronger than fumi. But since she wasn't then there is no way of figuring out.

I liked Mai Hime, I loved Mai Otome. Especially the episodes in which the Souten no Seigyoku played a role.

Zwei was a bit all over the place and cramped story-wise for me.

I'm over the moon with S.ifr because I got to watch the legendary Rena Sayers in action. For me, no other anime character has come close to how beyond awesome Rena is.

I'll keep searching but Rena has a special place in my little otaku heart :)
