I had a real soft spot for John Smith. He seemed so happy, I think he liked himself better sad and in love than lonley and not i love. SO SAD WHEN HE CRIES *hugs

"Family of Blood" has to perhaps be the darkest Doctor Who episode I've seen, but the ending with the military funeral has to be one of the most touching.

little story about this episode i thought i'd share. the friday human nature was on, i had a friend over and i remembered at 9-the time dr who had been on last week-that i should be watching it.
so i turned it on and it was right at the end with the whole 'maid or matron?' bit and then bam they start rolling credits so i forced my friend to stay up until 2 in the morning to watch this episode.
fortunately,she ended up enjoying it so...yes,thought i'd share that.
