Oliver 'HarDrive' Geddes (black gi) vs Luiz Finocchio Kent Open, November 14/15th, Dartford UK. Event sponsored by Faixa Rua. http://www.faixarua.co.uk/shop/

Note the collar grip n the transition from Omplata to triangle - nice!

Of all the great grappling comebacks I have filmed, this one counts as one of the greatest.

  • What was up with the stand up? Can he just walk away and get a stand up like that?

  • NO NO NO. The referee was BADLY wrong. Luiz was clearly stalling. U cannot stand up and disengage if you are on the top.

But u can learn from Oliver's response; he shrugs and just gets on with methodically trying to recover from being down 12 points while being refereed by either someone who does not know the rules, or someone who is totally biased.

    And then he wins.

What a great grappler/athlete Mr Geddes is!!

  • Great fight, guys.

But man, that transition into the triangle from the omoplata.. Made me scream: "Ohhhh" all alone in the kitchen. That was sick.

  • i think that was a great fight. one of my hardest fight i had. you're a person who got nothing good to say and want to be an ass hole saying that i was stalling the fight.

i know the ref and he is a great ref and a great fighter that just made a mistake. shit happens. i respect alot ollie and any jiu jitsu fighter. not just like some people that want to waste time saying shit .....................

  • Remarkable comeback.

But why did Geddes allow himself to trail by so many points?

    "Rope a dope" trick?

  • Sweet finish.

  • Luiz Finocchio. And it just seemed like a good idea to take the grip at the time. Couldn't really afford to miss it. ^_^

    Take care,

    Stalks
