Mr. Burns says "Excellent, those fools will vote for me.... Smithers add another $10 million to this week’s TV campaign ads... Fraud you say, it’s not fraud when you steal hundreds of millions of dollars from those sheep called the taxpayer”.

So, citizens would have to keep (or be fined), their health insurance that doesn't cover what they need & you want them to pay taxes on this benefit, is that before or after they go bankrupt?
What about the illegals? They use the system how will you tax them?
What did you mean when you were campaigning & said if your family makes under$200,000.00, no new taxes?
If Congress pays tax on their insurance, will they get an automatic pay increase thanks to the US taxpayer?

bpartoens: Not ta worry. It was McCain who wanted to tax health care benefits, at least that provided by employers, not Obama, according to a quick check at politifact dotcom. McCain lost big time so we're OK.
Personal bankruptcies due to health problems, including those WITH health insurance, is about 46%. Rethugs are happy with that or a higher figure, it appears.
I'm getting an extra $10/week from Obama's tax cut plus an extra $250 one time payment from SS. I make under $250K.

bpartoens: I see where you may have gotten the idea that Obama wants to tax employee-provided health insurance. Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) wants this for reasons I disagree with. He opposes single-payer, which would get rid of the corrupt, money-grabbing, "your money or your life" Rick Scotts of the world. Baucus has seen protests outside his office and elsewhere - most liberals oppose him. Hopefully Obama will reject this unpopular idea.

If Rick Scott is Exhibit A, William McGuire holds the title of Exhibit B. William was CEO of United Health until it the WSJ exposed his "little misjudgement in error". when he back dated his stock options and made over $1.6 billion. That was back in 2006. Yes, he was dimissed from his CEO position, but his golden parachute from United Health was over $1.1 billion in compensation. Crime really does pay when you are a health insurance CEO. Wonder how many denied claims UH made to pay out that?

bpartoens: Wow. Seems to run in the family.
People don't seem to realize that these billions come out of their insurance premiums. Every bonus dollar is a dollar that did not go to make someone well or save a life. Where are the "pro-life" people on this? AWOL!
I predict this is the year people start voting in their own self-interest instead of the interest of these criminals. 2006-2008 was a good start.
If anyone is concerned for Scott and McGuire, send them YOUR money, not mine!

"Healthcare" companies run for the profit of a few shareholders is a horrible failure.

I agree! Rick Scott is Exhibit A as to what happens otherwise. Many others like him, of course. We the People should determine our own health care system and abandon the failed "you money or your life" adversarial system. Get rid of the money-leeching insurance companies who PREVENT health care by charter.
Speaking of self-determination, how many Canadians have run on a platform of re-adopting our system and WON? NONE! I doubt any even tried. Canadians know they have a better system.
