Carver held over 300 patents for peanuts, not one of which was ever used for anything. He did jack shit. Nothing he invented is in use today because they weren't in use when he invented them.

George Washington Carver contributed much to our world and should be remembered for his great accomplishments. He did so much during a time when Afr-Americans were treated so terribly. He overcame these barriers and bigotry. Also as a gay man, Carver had to deal with people and institutions during a time and culture that was ignorant and homophobic. It's a testament to his character that he was able to manage that too.

One of the greatest, humble, and a well deserved human being i have ever known. A true genius and an ever lasting inspiration for all the generations ahead of him. I am an Indian from India nothing to do with American soil, but believe me when i say this one really grabed life by horns against all odds in the most polite way..now thats a real man right there. Salute!
