Whatever the reason for the mud and muck that these confined horses are laying and standing in, it is no comparison to the open prairies that they had access to prior to the roundups. The conditions are almost secondary compared to the cruelty that imprisoning these horses inflicts on them simply by the fact that as wild horses now confined they have lost their freedom which is all they ever knew. Now they live like this, sometimes for years if they make it without being sold for slaughter.

To Sunmom2010's: Butterfield is the tip of the iceberg. Wild horses and burros across the American south west are rounded up by helicopter and dumped into holding pens; at last count 42,000 are in holding pens to the tune of 70M tax payer $ a year. Celebrities Cheryl Crow and Willie Nelson are already heavily involved in stopping this. Celebrities get things done on Oprah, Ellen, etc. I've spent over 10 years studying the eradication of the herds

SamCowgirl658 is a misnomer. You obviously don't know horses at all. Those conditions are deplorable. You are very gullible to believe the garbage spewed by the ranchers about overpopulation. How come the ranchers put more cattle on the land after the horses are removed? It's the cattle that are overpopulated. Duh!

People that make these videos have NO IDEA what they are talking about. If it weren't for the BLM wild horses would overpopulate and ranchers would start shooting them as they did a long time ago. These horses in this video all look fine. The buckskin is NOT limping at all, it is just walking through the mud. Any place with horses out in a large area and rain looks like this!

BLM are such abusive criminals... with YEARS of history of abuse and neglect of the Wild Horses and Burros.. whom they are SUPPOSED to be PROTECTING - according to the LAW!! The brutalities and violence BLM and their hired thugs inflict on the INNOCENT living beings is nothing short of the most abhorant crimes and BLM and their hirelings MUST be held accountable and be PUNISHED to the FULLEST extent of the LAY!!!!
