Actually I was only giving you a taste of your own medicine.
I just recorded it - feel free to retaliate.
All the best.

are you a teacher or, er, a professor or just a lover of words?

Thinking abt it ... I'm not a Midlands accent tho thats nit picking on my part. In my mind as I read this I would be thinking of the radio 3 programme of eight years ago which I taped and have listened to many times. It featured the Pound scholar Michael Alexander. I also have never seen the tv programme you mention, or in fact seen any tv in twenty years. I think I would be reading this for my penpal in America.

Actually, when I read this I only had a tiny memory capacity on the camera so I will have been rushing to 'fit it all in'. I notice I slow down for the parts that matter.

This is a poor reading because of your midlands accent and becuase you haven't prepared yourself and don't know the text well enough. . Also it's poor because you are poem-deaf, which is like being tone-deaf: you're uware of the metre, assonances etc. It's not a newpaper article. You're like one of those contenstants on American Idol who think they're great yet can't sing in tune. I wouldn't have told you this but for the fact you left the comment "shit reading" on one of my poems.
