I wanna share this with all my fans and friends.

Somewhere Out There is a song taken from the movie, An American Tail, a film that I watched when I was real young. I found it very touching, because it speaks about family, friendship and of course, love in general.

Though the song initially expresses solitude, which made that scene in the movie really sad (it even made me cry), i found it interestingly ironic to decide to arrange it and put harmony in it.

This is dedicated to my favourite group of all time. The Four Freshmen.
..and also to Tony Rivers, a musical genius.

-alot of the pictures here were taken by Yas Ichiura, and from the Indianapolis Four Freshmen convention which I attended, just to meet my inspiration!

  • Um....yeah, this is truly amazing. The boys need to sign you up to write arrangements.

  • @frankietrent I'd be highly honored if I get the chance to be offered to arrange even just a song by the group. Beyond my imagination, Frankie. Cool thought though! Thank you.

  • Hi! We met at Indy. Love this song which is new to me. Many thanks, Will

  • @Willco5114 Hi, Will. Nice of you to check out my arrangement. Yas must've asked you to listen to it. Excuse my memory. I met a lot of interesting people at the Indianapolis Freshmen Convention. Would you remember where I first met you?

  • GREAT arrangement and singing, from the first line where unison broke into 4 part I was hooked, another great bit is when you sing 'if love can see us through' that's a part I would have loved rehearsing-it's just so 'Freshmen'. Talking of Freshmen--how great are the latest line up--just love them?

    Great stuff again LOVED IT!

  • Never got the chance to meet Ken Albers. He's arranged alot of songs for the group.Love his voice quality and range. Castaways? I like what you did to your outro of Nowhere Man, first time I heard it anyway. Blew my mind. It was unexpected. That's one of he things that made me a big fan of yours!

I based that arrangement from their OverTheRainbow. You know I just had to give that last part a special approach so the song doesn't get boring and redundant. The new Freshmen are wonderful!Very talented

  • Extremely well done! Totally captured their sound. I love the Freshmen. I sit and dissect their songs just like you Brian Wilson use to. I wish I could get more of their arrangements.

Excellent work though. Keep it up
