  • This song/album is absolutely brilliant.

  • @mce123 No, it's about her loving her boyfriend so much that it hurts. Her guy friends make fun of her 'cause she's never been in love before. The waltz (which is from Strauss's Empire Waltz) beckons her to "walk the body" to her boyfriends bedroom. (The vid first shows her in her own room, dressed in white, then she's in her boyfriend's room. She "jumps!" and then is dressed in black as a queen of the night.) Love your take on the pregnacy and that would cause your Tshirt to change too!

  • i'll play this to my 15 year old niece LOL

  • I think it's about a young woman accepting her pregnancy and growing to love the baby. (?)

  • One of the first vinyl singles I bought. Still superb after 25 years.

  • the song was about a girl growing up growing breasts which apparently hurts ..... just she waits till she experiences period pains

  • How have I forgotten this song for 20 years? Teenage disco memories flooding back. Can't believe I forgot about it. Awesome.

  • @PalmerWhit Yeah i know

  • @PalmerWhit .........oh and i'm aware of the influence ot the 1980's, not from copycat artists of today sampling the entire decade because they're bereft of ideas, but because I grew up in the 1980s. Thanks for the cultural lesson.

  • @PalmerWhit Let me get this straight....because I don't know who bootsie whatshisname is, bearing in mind he/she only produced it, didn't write or sing on ti, thereforeI cannot express what I think of this song. A bit puritannical don't you think? Yes he discovered the Sex Pistols, he told us that ad nauseum until he died, but he wasn't the Sex Pistols. Big difference. I didn't comment on the album so not necessary to mention it. Am not going to research it. I have a life.
