World Day for Animals in Laboratories march through London, 25th April 2009. Hundreds of people attended the march to show their disgust at the horrendous suffering and death of hundreds of millions of animals in laboratories across the world each year in senseless and futile experiments in laboratories. If you're against animal experiements, then attend this annual march! Check www.wdail.org for details.

  • The attendance was reported at over 2,000 people.

  • Yeah - the turnout was excellent and will grow year on year!

  • Hi Aran - yeah, it was a good demo. I think I could have done better with the footage I have, but I was short of time and very tired!

  • The attendance was well over 2000 .. and i was very proud to be there ..

If anyone wants to join us this year .. please feel free ..

we meet at 12 in whitworth park in manchester ..

  • No, kababayancs. We are saying that torturing is imoral. Humans don't need it to keep alive. Once torturing animals is over, humans will still live well. There are alternatives, darling.

  • vegandave....the footage is excellent, it looked a good day, shame i couldnt go!!

  • Looks like you all had a good day, looks like a great turn out- We are coming to the 2010 March tomorrow - hopefully this years march will have an even bigger turn out! x

  • EXACTLY'

  • if youu go to 3.33 minits you will see me wering a purple jumper and bright yellow sunglasses blowin a wistle & talking to a guy (alan) with a tall flag..

THAT WAS AN AMAZING DAY ! no more torture no more lies, every six seconds an animal dies !! x

  • I have researched it. The tests are cruel. Is it really necessary to test the effects of battery acid on the stomach of a chimpanzee?

  • I am glad that at the least I can make you aware of the cruel and evil things that are done to animals. And i am glad that we could agree on that. Would you be willing to stand up and protest these types of tests?

  • so you are an ape other than a human. ok. since you are non-human, you are property and perfect for product testing !

  • The premise of your quesiton is flawed. You presume that animal testing is necessary for human survival. That is not the case. Have you ever heard of thalidamide? oh by the way, are you able to contribute anything other than this "humans die" crap? I need you to defend experiements such as battery acid on the stomach, the amputation of horses legs to test prosthetics and blinding of monkeys to show oven cleaner can cause blindness.
