  • @Robbob9933 Dear Sir, thank you very very much for your service in the Marines. I am honored to even write to you! Semper Fi!

  • See my two posts below, read the bottom one first, then the one above it to understand please. Any questions on Marine Band stuff? Look me up on facebook! I'm happy to help out :-)

  • (see message below first!) It's very tough to get through all of that. They have to qualify doing all the physical things a combat Marine has to do. Plus be super talented musicians and perfect at drill. These band members can also be deployed to combat. I hope to God my daughter and son never have to go. But they will go gladly and fight if they are called up. They are a Marine first and a Musician Second. Semper Fi and thank you for your service!

  • My daughter and son in law are both in "Marine Bands" right now. There are around 12 "Marine Bands' at different bases around the world. Only ONE BAND is called the PRESIDENTS OWN Marine Band. That is incredibly difficult to get into, you have to be a huge talent, like through college, good enough for Julliard or something! The members of other bands have all gone through boot camp and combat training and graduated from the Navy School of Music.

  • The Marines are the best at LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Very few times have I seen a mistake at ANYTHING having to do with the Marines.

  • @rcsiletzky I retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant after 28 years. When I say the members of the band in the video are not part of the Marine Corps Band but rater are members of a Fleet/Base band, I am 100% correct. When I say the Marine Corp Band and Fleet/Base bands have no relation, I am correct again as there is no reporting structure (chain of command) between them. When I say members of the Marine Corps Band to not have a rank under Staff Sergeant, I am again correct.

  • @Robbob9933 Whenever you are willing to listen and not be so offeneded by someone trying to give you a simple correction I will happily explain why you are not on mark with what you wrote. Just because you are about to pick up lance corporal doesn't mean you're still not a boot

  • @rcsiletzky Since you are only able to say I am unknowing without the ability to delineate, I can only deduce that you are a troll. So, go on your merry way troll.

  • @kwbscout even if they have served in the fleet they still wear the lyre on their sleeves when they report to the Presidents Own.

  • @Robbob9933 you still don't know what you're talking about
