The Raiders run ZBS which is why we get consistent rushing. same with the broncos. they can plug in any RB and get a 1000yrd rusher

Great video! extremely helpful to refresh zone responsibility... WVU doesnt blick this because they run the zone read (leaving the last DL unblocked backside to make the read by the QB) Zone read is huge when you have an athletic qb that runs the ball well like WVU, also makes the DEF play agianst 11 instead of 10, evens the odds. Similar OFFs to WVU are Oregon's Spread Read and Nevada's Pistol.

nice video! just remember that this is outside zone scheme and there is also inside zone sheme but this guy is coaching the hell out of the ouside zone! please post more of this kind of stuff cuase we need it! i have been coaching zone blocking for the past 12 years and i can't even begin to tell you how much of a difference it has made for me because i have taught every blocking scheme there is and zone is the best beleave me!

This coach does a good job. From a defensive perspective the defensive lineman has to attack the inside shoulder of the offensive lineman when he sees the jab step and get up field. This is the only video on the entire internet that explains the zone properly. However, he glosses over the major component which is the zone step. He sort of assumes, they'll just do it when the reality is that takes an entire season or three to learn for high school kids.
