@HeatherOfOz They go by what THEY say the Bible means - and they can say it means anything they like; and they do! There is no central authority, not even the Bible (because they interpret it any way they like). Also, they DON'T go by the Bible - they ignore and marginalize and over-emphasize many passages.

God bless the Roman Catholic Church and all of its followers. We are Christ's Original Church, established by Christ Our Lord himself. Protestants should repent their sin's and there Heretical way's. In my opinion a protestant is a catholic protesting against there real church because glory hunting men, seized oppertunities when they arose to chase wealth and power,

@Enjoysfishing As everyone can see, we are MORE than happy to deal with people who approach this in a spirit of goodwill and so forth - but someone who openly says "I will delete my comments if you post them!" is not interested in open debate and discussion. Pray for such people.

I am posting this here in case he DOES delete it (basically, the equivalent of ringing a doorbell and running away). The reason (for everyone) why we have comment pending; because people come here and post swearing etc. (the word "bull" is close to the limit, I suppose)

I'd just like to say that I too was led to the RCC by reading my Bible with a fervent spirit of seeking wisdom in my walk with Christ. I started researching biblical concepts and getting Catholic answers. By that I mean the only reasonable explanation was Catholic doctrine. I will be starting RCIA this Tuesday.

@BrendanMurrayJubana Umm hellooo? What's the point of reading it if they're not going to have any guidance?? You tell people to go and "read the bible themselves". Ok, and what makes you think they're not going to interpret it incorrectly? The point he was trying to make wasn't that people shouldn't read it, it's that people shouldn't interpret it alone... Everything he said about what Protests cave into is clear evidence of the error of Sola Scriptura and the chaos is causes...
