I know your quote is from 2 years ago but... you should check out Paul Simmons with Reverend Horton Heat. I know what it sounds like but it lacks the 'Christian influence'. It has to do more with girls, cars, and loud guitars... and drinkin.

Basically Louie and Petra came to an 'Impasse' about his future with the band and after Louie and John prayed about it, this was the conclusion. Louie was a great drummer and will leave a legendary legacy.

Louie was fired by John Schlitt and Petras manager because the band wanted to go 'a different direction'. Louie and Petra have made amends but there are no plans for the band to play together again. They have officially retired Petra and are all doing solo projects

Paul is pretty good but i wish they could have worked out their differences and had Louie perform one more time.
