Medic - My Brother Joe (2/3)

This episode of Medic (NBC - 1954-1956) is about a young man, Stanley (Jack Dimond), and his brother Joe who suffers brain trauma in an automobile accident. While Joe is undergoing tests and then surgery, Stanley talks to his father and learns that the accident resulted because his father was speeding. His father apparently has a history of alcoholism and his parents are divorced.

When Stanley's mother arrives and the fighting between the parents begins, the serious dysfunctional nature of this broken family becomes clear. Sadly, Stanley is more mature and responsible that both of his parents combined.

Episodes of Medic were introduced and narrated by Richard Boone (Dr. Konrad Styner). Charles Bronson (Dr. Bircher) guest stars in this episode.
