  • @UltimateCenaFan521 the more algea you will have. so keep the light on no more then 8 hours keep it away from windows. and also it depends on what kind of fish you have, if you have guppies and mollies i would get and octocenclus (sorry spelling not my thing) they only get about 1 1/2 inches they are schooling so get three or more and they really do a great job. other wise maybe a rubber lip pleco because they only get 5 inches. now if you have very agressive fish such as cichlids then NO

  • @UltimateCenaFan521 yes you can add a pleco. However honestly I wouldnt because they will just add to the ammonia. plus depending on the type of pleco you get depends on the size. Your regual pleco will actually get 24 inches which is far to large for most tanks. with a freshwater tank just scub your tank once a week and you can clean off your ornaments and you wont have to worry about your algea. Also algea is made from light so the longer you have your light on the more algea you...

  • Can someone tell me for a freshwater tank would a pleco eat all the algae or just some?

  • @caliburn0911 he will eat it, just not when ure watching.

and if he really doesnt eat it feed him cucumber slices and cooked zuchini, always works!

  • @caliburn0911 more light

  • @caliburn0911 i know im just saying thats how you get more algae.

  • @awinski999 i have other fishes too so i dont want them stressed

  • @awinski999 without stressing them

  • he should have started the video buy putting an algae eater in a fresh water tank then just walked away and turned of the camera

  • @caliburn0911 more lights
