Road Rage - Man yells at woman because her broken down car was blocking traffic.

If your car breaks down, raise your hood. It's the international sign of motor vehicle distress. Otherwise people are likely to think you're just double parked to pick up your dry cleaning and many are likely to let you know what they think of you for doing so.

People always tell me about the abuse they get from people while they are stuck in the middle of the street waiting for the tow truck. More than once have I showed up to meet a crying Member. This may have been a first. Some one actually verbally abusing the owner of the broken down car while a tow truck driver was in the process of removing her car. What did he think she was supposed to, or capable of, doing? He was so irrate that I felt I had to step in and basically chase him away. I'll add this to long list of services for Members.

A final word of advise for everyone. If you see flashing warning lights, of any color, go around a different direction. You'll save whatever time you think you're loosing in the long run by avoiding the incident and effected traffic.

Even if she did have the hood up there are still dumb idiots that yell to move the car. I stopped to help an old man out that was broken down in the middle of the road some years ago. He steered and I pushed the car (GEO METRO) into a parking lot. People were just yelling and I was like "WTF it's not his fault for breaking down in the middle of the road!"

@sooper2dooper3 I had a computer problem in an '89 Chevrolet Beretta GTU back in the 90's. It would kill all power to the cars electrical while driving. Boom! Dead car! I'd have it towed to the dealership and tested and they would tell me it was fine. 3 weeks of this before it died on one of there test drives. This was a car I took to shows being a limited edition so it was VERY well maintained.Cars can break down with no warning. Anything mechanical can. They just don't usually.
