There are animal populations smaller than that. Haven't you ever heard of endangered species. Look some of them up some time to see how few of them there are. Some number in the dozens.

Humans didn't evolve from modern day primates, it's a common misconception (but an understandable one). Our ancestors were the same, but both humans and other primates branched off a looooong time ago.
Although I remain extremely skeptical about Bigfoot I also refuse to ignore the possibility that the species may exist - continental drift explained lemur distribution, perhaps science will discover how bigfoot spread out, too.

People who don't believe are in denial in the face of evidence the way the church is in denial about evoloution. this is really hard to believe, if there are only 2000 big foot, they all must be incredibly INBRED, i mean a gene pool of 2000 cant survive they all must be inbred hick bigfoots,lol
