Brighton & Hove's Preston Manor has remained a living testament to the Stanford family and their contribution to our local heritage, since the house, grounds and contents were bequeathed to the town council following the deaths of Ellen and Charles Thomas-Stanford in 1932. This dramatisation as told through the eyes of Ellen Thomas-Stanford gives a brief insight into life at Preston Manor.

A beautiful portrayal of a snapshot of history, with excellent acting bringing it to life.

wow. really makes me want to go and see this. what a fascinating place. very well shot in monochrome and evocative use of music. like stepping back in time. all the staff seemed so of the period. The lady of the house is very good. i think i recognise her. TV? Theatre? whoever did the voice over was very good too. so believable and natural without the usual over the top "poshness" you get in these things usually. just how she would have spoken.
cant wait to see more!
