@BoeingJetJockey Wow, understood, man. Thanks a lot for your explanations. It's interesting how you get confortable (and ready) on your cockpit seat, just when you switch off the autopilot and start approaching landing maneouver. Well, obviously, you need to be focused 120%! I wish I could fly with you someday. My wife and I we are planning of buying a house in Phuket, so it would be wonderful to meet you at the plane. Who knows? We can be lucky!, Keep flying!

does a pilot usually have to move around the yoke that much or was this just because wind/turb?

@Bizija123 If you read the video info you'll know why. This airport surrounded by hills and causes a lot of eddies on a windy day. A few years ago an MD80 crashed during landing here due to windshear. More over, this plane is a conventional cable operated and quite unstable due to lack of outboard aileron(s).
If you do this in a fly-by-wire aircraft you will certainly over control it but without continuous input in this plane, the plane will veered off the desired path in a heartbeat!

First of all, congratulations; any landing from which you can leave walking, it's a perfect landing! You guys (the pilots) are heroes, I admire you.- Just one question; what is that button that you press repeteadly, just when you start the approaching manoeuver? Best Regards from Barcelona, Spain.-

@frankebano NEVER TWIST ANY METAL, NEVER HURT ANYONE till retirement day is my goal. Thanks.
At 3:53 the red button is the Autopilot disconnect switch.
At 4:04, 4:14, 4:24, .... the black button is the Horizontal Stabilizer trim switch (Pitch trim) it moves the whole tail plane to stream line with the current air speed so the control wheel force is neutral.
So basically when I let go of the control wheel, with the good trim, the plane will continue it's path, no nose dive or climb whatsoever!
