  • You have no concept of Art history. Artists have had assitants since the rennaissance. From Michelangelo, Rafael to Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons. As long as it is your concept, its your art and it doesn't matter WHO paints it.

  • He has plagiarized many, including the optical illusion artist and the butterfly mandala one too who have spoken out amongst others.

He kills many animals too. Nothing he's one is new.

Just an unpleasant efficient team making money.

  • and by the way IT MATTERS if you paint a canvas!! painting os not like welding a Richard Serra piece. as an arist i would feel my practice and knowledge useless in considering my being even not the autor of some of my works! large complex installations require such an amout of work and often diverse knowledge and technical know how, but painting CAN and SHOULD BE a one man work on various levels, and this case is one of them. this is just a brand, Hirst is just a name stamped or labeled on.

  • I love art, and I know what I like. I do not like this. It is just dots - seriously? Random dots that a team of people paint? Wow.

  • it's still his concept, his idea.

  • Brilliant,

    Thanks for posting,

    Kind Regards

    UK Artist Stuart Ridley

  • This is a ripoff! Hirst doesn't paint the dots! Why should he be famous if other artists do it for him! He is totally missing the point on being an artist.

  • The analysis in the commentary is the usual silky-voiced , facile 'pop-up-toaster' school of cod-philosophical aesthetics. A multi-coloured swap-shop of non-sequiteurs.

  • how does he have so much money then?

  • Yeah, all the butterflies, cows, sharks, sheep, zebras etc. that were killed, many didn't make the grade and pass quality control after dying, were plastic. I'm not a real person but a google-bot too!

This is fascism and cruelty to animals. I wouldn't be surprised if animal rights groups get on his case. The state of arts is pathetic. As Hirst said a few times, he will be forgotten and devalued unlike some of his contemporaries.

BTW now he is the richest thanks to his crafty Irish accountant.

  • just curious - yummzy- how do you know he kills animals?
