  • we learn to apply a hasty, or quick tourniquet while on care under fire. once we go under tactical field care, fire is suppressed, and begin our casualty assessment we apply the deliberate tourniquets over the skin. the difference is that the hasty tourniquet is a quick slow down of the blood because its place on the very top of the extremity. the deliberate is placed two to three inches above the wound and its designed to stop the bleeding all together on that area. of course under the clothes

  • @B525shot We get taught, first tourniquet on fast, clothes or not, then when you have a spare second, cut off clothes and apply the skin tourniquet.

  • This guy puts on a tourniquet without removing the clothes first... In the Swiss army they theach us, always to apply a tourniquet on bare skin.... Do Americans or Aghans learn something else?
