I did a little editing in this to reduce the time; I just cut out really unimportant parts.

This is the optional zodiac battle against the boss of Deep Dungeon, Elidibs.

This guy comes with several Apandas in battle and has a nasty summon move called Zodiac, which you can only obtain from Elidibs. In order to get Zodiac, you have to bring a summoner into battle, have him/her get hit with the attack, and survive the attack.

For some reason a Bybolos helps you in this batttle and joins your team afterwards.

My Lancer is now officially awesome.

For winning you get the hidden 13th Zodiac Stone.

  • please zodiac strikes my summoner but the summoner doesnt learn zodiac please help :(

  • @skxarta I think you have to survive the attack. Do you have MP Switch?

  • @PlainOlJoe yes, actually my summoner survives the attack but he wont learn it :(

  • @skxarta Hmm, that's odd. The only other reason I could see your Summoner not learning Zodiac is if he were inflicted with the Innocent status. I tried doing some research and could not find any site that indicated there being any element of randomness to learning Zodiac.

  • RAMZA AS A MONK??? ARE YOU HIGH?? Here was my set up Squire Punch Art Chaos Blade Excalibur Teleport Double Sword Hamedo = YOUR FUCKED!
  • @RnBHybr1d I appreciate the fact that you are proud of your setup, but I find your excessive use of caps lock to be disorienting. I've had many a playthrough where my Ninja Ramza with Martial Arts and power boosting equipment would proceed to dismantle anything that got in his way. However, I decided not to set that up in this playthrough. Also, I am quite clean, thank you.

  • @ksutdilla You DARE bring cheat accusations into my lair? You must die!

My Lancer has the Javelin II (with a whopping 30 attack power), two hands (doubles attack power), and to top it all off a Bracer equipped for more strength. So, his strength is legit.

  • @skxarta I think there's about a 10% fail rate. Yeah I was unlucky too. Just try again trust me. Most other spells have a MUCH higher fail rate, but you can actaully teach most any magic to your troops by hitting them. That means (with luck) spells like Fire 4 etc can be passed on as well. Good luck!

  • where do i find this boss at?

  • My guy was a lancer since the begining, i just gave him equip sword until spears came out

  • Great video :)

  • @skxarta Even after being hit by Zodiac and surviving it, you only have a 30% chance or so of actually learning it. Keep trying.

  • @PlainOlJoe That's right, brother, stick to your guns. That was one of the things I loved the most about this game: you could choose one of many different ways to play through the game. Too bad Mr. Ego there seems to think his way is the only way. Besides, if you want to get technical, placing Ramza as a Monk actually allows you to get the highest damage output in the game. Here was my min-maxed set-up: Monk - Punch Art, Guts - Two Sword - Auto-Potion - Move +3. He could hit for over 1300.
