HOLLA 'TCHA BOY was another hit song from the ground breaking Album "My Life Thru' my Pen" (2003). This Album was Shoni-Mac's (Then Known as "RUGER 9") second, trailing behind "GHETTO TEARS" which was the first. HOLLA 'TCHA BOY was somewhat controversial as it featured another artist NIGHTMARE. There was a dispute about whose song it was but then it was agreed that it was originally a NIGHTMARE song but Ruger 9 (now Shoni-Mac) released his Album first and so it seemed it was a Ruger 9 track. Nevertheless, the input level was virtually equal and so either party could virtually claim ownership of the song. Anyway, every song if not all the songs on this Album was an instant Underground hit. They were feeling this track from here(Saint Paul - minnesota) to New York, Oklahoma to Houston, Texas. This particular track made it to BET (UNCUT) just before it folded up. Since then, there has been talk about a documentary about that era. Stay tuned for info as there is a lot of footage of that time. -- Boma Iruene (irueneb) Videographer extra-odinaire.
