Ubuntu 9.10 comes with a new feature that is called Ubuntu One. It is an easy to use file sharing protocol that allows drag and drop capabilities and also secure access to the storage. One of the wonderful features of the program is that you can set the bandwidth and also to set to start automatically.

5gigs free storage is unbelievable, come to think of it my Dropbox account is getting awfully close to 2gigs...

@miasmablk I just bought an SSD (love it worth every penny) and now i use my old 7200rpm as a backup from RAID.

@miasmablk You do need hard drives. It's just impossible to have all of your things on the cloud. The worst part would be uploading it all. Streaming is the future my friend. Not computer to cloud. But small computer to big computer. Much like school and businesses do today.

i need at least 150gb for all of my videos and music...but so for nobody offers that much possibly google when they come out with chrome OS but im not into the whole cloud based operating system thing.

I don't quite see the advantage over DropBox here, as DropBox achieves basically the same, is multi-platform and you can get extra free space by inviting your friends.
