As seen from atop the Ouellette Avenue overpass on a very hot and sticky night in late June, 2009 -- this video features the Target Fireworks Display over the Detroit river. The intersection of Ouellette Avenue and Tecumseh Road (central) can be seen at the bottom left of the screen. Two prominent features of the Detroit skyline are visible, the Penobscot building at the foot of Ouellette and further to the right the prominent structure of the world headquarters for General Motors, the GM Renaissance Center.
Great video! It was a very warm night indeed.
Maybe its the economic down turn, but I find that this year's fireworks were much shorter. Usually its between 35-45 minutes long in the previous years, but this year was only 25 minutes. But all in all it was still a great display.
