In Loving Memory of Christopher Michael Pierce

Christopher Michael Pierce was born May 29, 1984 in Shreveport LA. He graduated May 18, 2002 from Parkway High School, Bossier City LA.

Michael disappeared May 18, 2003 around midnight from work at Taco Bell, Barksdale Blvd, Bossier City LA. No one heard from him for 4 1/2 years.

Now it is with great sadness that I need to report on behalf of Christopher Michael Pierce's family that they found his 1988 Jeep pickup truck December 6, 2007 about 100 feet off the north ramp of the boat launch on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway, in the Red River in Bossier City, La.

He has an adoring 17 year old brother, Matthew Pierce, 14 year old sister, Lauren Rogers, mother, Leslie Rogers in Nashville, TN. His grandparents, Judy and Irish Downes live in Gallatin, TN. His dad and step-mom, Chris and Stacy Pierce, live in Shreveport, LA.

Michael was an exceptional young man. He loves his family and friends who have extremely fond memories of his kind, caring, loyal, friendly, and loving ways.

From birth he has been a tremendous joy and delight to his parents,grandparents and great-grandparents. He was a bright, adorable infant who was remarkably sensitive to the feelings of his loved ones and playmates. He wanted to please everyone. Throughout his childhood and teen years, he never lost this sensitivity.

He was not always treated kindly by his peers, but he loved everyone. He never complained when he was mentally or physically in pain. As a child he loved music and sports and this love remains in his heart.

He was always an A & B average student and enjoyed school. He never used liquor, tobacco or drugs. Until his disappearance, he did volunteer work with the Shreveport/Bossier MudBugs hockey team and was liked by all who knew and worked with him, including rival team members.

Michael was gifted in poetry and short story writing. He enjoyed being on the computer, journaling and chatting with internet friends. He dreamed of being a disc jockey and had hopes of majoring in journalism and broadcasting.

UPDATE: Robert Cole, a Bossier City man accused of killing two people and an unborn child, pled guilty to two murders May 27, 2008.. but not for Michael Pierce's murder. He will spend life behind bars for killing his pregnant wife Theresa Cole. The DA says even though Cole will spend life behind bars he's not out of the woods yet for the murder of Christopher Pierce.

Yes, Cole is being held in the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for the Jan. 6 murder of his wife, Terresa, 26, and her unborn child, and now the murder of Michael Pierce 4 1/2 years ago. We must have justice for Michael, TJ and her unborn baby.

There will be no justice. As an inmate most likely serving a life sentence for the killings, the suspect will adjust and be pampered living rent free, eating three square meals a day, while enjoying all expense paid medical and dental care. I would literally pull out my eye teeth to have 5 minutes alone with him strapped to a chair in my garage. Take comfort in knowing that you atleast have some closure but don't wait upon your government to give you satisfaction, they don't care.
