My family (Sarah's) and I had taken a tour of Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, formerly known as Weston State Hospital. This is a video I created from the photos I took. It also contains little facts about the Asylum.

i was there on saturday and it was absolutley amazzing... alot has changed from what i can see in your video. but it was still good when i went. i went on the all night tour and some pretty interesting things happened

I was there today!!! I took some pics, many of the same ones in this vid. I asked the guide about straight jackets, she said they made them put them in the attic. She pointed out the building where Walter Freeman did lobotomies. She worked there for 30 years and she called him DOCTOR Freeman. She said it "wasn't bad", talking about Freemans lobotomies. She said the patients wouldn't take thorazine, they spit it back at them, so one nurse gave everyone a special treat, a cup of coffee.

I love TALA... anytime I'm there, I feel like I'm home!! I just feel this overwhelming connection to the place... maybe I was a patient there in my past life?? LOL

I want to go here, but not for ghosts. I was alwys fascinated by places that looked similar to ruins, and this is as close as it gets down here in the olde USA.
