Grandmaster Chan Tai-San teaching Sifu Michael Parrella (ME)a Bok Mei set - Sahp Jih Kuyhn. This was my first Bok Mei set and I laugh as I watch myself stuble through it and make a million mistakes. This was in 1991.

Chan Tai-San served with Master Cheung Lai-Chung in the army and learned this set from one of Master Cheung's disciples who was a close friend of his. This is almost the first half of the set. Other sets that GM Chan taught are - Jik Bo (Straight Step), Gau Bouh Teui (9 Step Push), Sahp Baat Mor Kiu (18 Touching Bridges) along with Bok Mei Staff and Tiger Fork.

  • I would love to learn the form you're doing, I see so many applications that would devastate an opponent in the movements, dislocations etc. Outstanding. Thank you for sharing.

  • very nice

  • I've been following this channel for a little while and I never noticed these clips. It's kind of funny to see videos of when you were a relative newbie, since I'm so used to seeing you today as an expert.

  • What an awesome experience it must have been to learn from a master like Chan Tai-San.
