This was about the time I watched the other station's never ending rotation of Starblazers and Robotech.
Nine out of ten Dentists agree that Punky Brewster is the number one cause of cavities.

That's the all time best Charley & Humphrey spot ever!

@80sCommercialVault Thank you! Commercials from the 00 don't even come close. I cringe when one comes on.

"OH Punky!!"
"One kid called me Pukey." I remember that line from the show when she attended the new school.

My mother loved playing with a G.I. Joe action figure in the late-1960s and nevertheless grew up to be anti-war. I would think the same applies with many of the kids who played with toys like "Army Gear" in the 1980s.

@Mavericker7 Same here! I seriously want to go back to the 80's. Sure we didn't have cell phones, internet, iPods, and whatnot, but we're still alive, & we knew how to entertain ourselves. I even remember when MTV used to actually play music videos! Good times!

@Kitsunefan9 No doubt. Back then there were a lot of toys and games centered around warfare for boys. I know I had a bunch of them.

@80sCommercialVault I know I had a blast in the 80's but that maybe because I was kid and didn't really have a frame of reference to compare it to. There was more innocence in media back then; tv shows, movies, music, etc. which I miss.
All I can say is... F**K the 2000s, F**K the 2000s, F**K the 2000s. I'll admit there's been a few good things this century, but it seems for every good thing we get, we also get about 30 crappy things.

Don't you wish you could ever just...GO BACK? Life was so simple in 1988. Cherry Merry Muffin and Squeez-Its. Now you need an Ipod and a cell phone to fit in if you're 8.
