  • @jyhbs1001 I believe SOME family childcare needs to be close, because of lack of knowledge and experience with children. However I am a family childcare provider for 7 years now. I am accredited, star level 3, food sanitation license, dcfs license, masters degree in ECE. I do believe whether its a CENTER or HOME both should be well educated and have love for children. I glad the state is making changing for both.

  • It depends on the state you live in. Some states have strict requirements for registered in home day care. Those who are not registered usually do not meet these requirements. I know of many quality in home day cares and I am a preschool teacher at a school.

  • I wish the goverment should shut down all family childcare. and open more daycare center or a least one or two elementary school turn into daycares in each city depending on popularity and close all family childcare provider they don't have units and knowledge as a teacher . This teacher look really smart and clever. instead of paying to provider 6 to seven thousand they should pay to professional teachers with early childhood units.
