Its actually funny that you used this game as an example, because, I've been having these exact problems too lately Dx, I cant beat remix 6 lol.
I think to kinda solve the problem for the Clapping stage, if you use the Gamecube remote with the latest VBA for wii, hold the C-stick to the left, it skips many frames, which makes it easyer to land beats, sort of

Playing a game like rhythm tengoku on an emulator, it kinda hard, considering most emulators recieve some minor lag in controlls, and RT is a very precise game.
