I don't think this is the "worlds first" 1/100sec stopwatch. The SLAVA 1/100 sec stopwatch was available in the 1980s.
Very nice watch never the less

Damn you and this infuriatingly addictive demo video, NeddyLad !
I've been collecting Seiko 7A38s (and nothing but) for the last 2 years.
I've also obviously watched this video just one time to many, because
last week, I finally relented and bought myself a 7T59-6A00 on eBay.
It's gorgeous. Thank you ! ;o)

Look like another watch that I'vee seen, don't know the name exactly, just saw a replcia of it.The bazel look almost the same but it doesn't have a date indicator.Someone knows what I'm talking about?
The fact that the orange hand can spin all the way around in 1/10th of a second is awesome. It must be hard on the battery, though - how often have you had to replace the battery since 1993, and is it a fairly common size?

Depends how often you use the stopwatch - though the hands do park after a few minutes till you hit stop or split. I used to get about 4 years per battery. Not bad really.
