EN 409 DANUBIUS - Frankfurt to Budapest

This was one of my favourite trains on this trip. The train is seen here entering Frankfurt Hbf in reverse at around 730pm. Starting from the front, this is the composition of the train:

OBB 2nd class to Vienna
OBB Couchette to Vienna
OBB Sleeper Car to Vienna
MAV Restaurant car to Budapest
MAV Sleeper car to Budapest
MAV Couchettes to Budapest
MAV Second Class to Budapest

When the conductor came over to collect my ticket he strongly warned me about locking my door to avoid being robbed by the gypsies in Vienna where the train makes a prolonged stop to detach the Hungarian cars from the Austrian units.

I had a great trip and breakfast in the restaurant car was very nice as we approached Budapest.

I didn't imagine this train is pulled by class 181 locomotive,even though these are much more used on the boarder between France and Germany.But it's a nice surprise anyway....

yeah, although we reversed directions when we got to Karlsruhe Hbf , they might have changed it at that time. I was falling asleep so I don't know what happned..lol

A very nice train, but he is the most beautiful in the BR181 LORRAINE and BR 101 INTERCONNEX I'm sorry if it was stolen, unfortunately, many of them, value, care must be taken. Thanks for the video. Five stars would be :)
