A channel based on what songs should be on YouTube but they aren't.
This is the 13th song of Bernard Herrmann's score for the movie The Ghost And Mrs. Muir and I upload it of course cause...I didn't find it. :P

  • I love both the film and the soundtrack. Thanks for posting. They sure don't make 'em like this any more.

  • @Varese13 I am optimist and I think there are a lot of brilliant composers today. We don't have to compare music...thanks for your comment :)

  • This passage was used in WUTHERING HEIGHTS. From my understanding Benny took it from the film score not the other way around (from the opera)), as one poster somewhere else on youtube claimed. Anyway it's gorgeous music.

  • This piece evokes the heartache Lucy endured, but she had the rolling sea the wind and the waves to fan those bitter sweet pangs....

  • Like if you felt yourself getting warmer as the video started.

  • BEAUTIFUL !!!

  • The great Bernad Herrmann! This is one of his best pieces but there are so many other great ones.

Before there was John WIlliams there was Herrmann!

  • This is one of my favourite movies

  • Wow beautiful. Must be a rerecording. This doesn't sound like a recording from 1947 ^^.

  • Pardon me, but this passage isn't from "Fahrenheit 451". It's from "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir".

  • @noYTsongs It isn't a matter of comparisons. Great artists don't grow on trees. When we lose them, they are not easily replaced. As for brilliant composers today, I know a few personally myself, so I am hopeful–––yet apprehensive.
