Avevo il 45 giri con etichetta verde. Ai miei 8 anni e mio fratello 4 ogni giorno era una necessitá ascoltarlo. Fin quasi a consumarlo. Questa é la vera versione originale, con Alvin e company.
Un tuffo nei ricordi di un azzurro passato.
Grazie gramophoneshane.
Thanks for the good remembering.

@ReallyRadReallyBad This IS the original. And it would be hard to have a version without the chipmunks because Seville did all of the Chipmunk voices.

IS HE DEAD

Aha! OZ. Might be worth a collector pilgrimage, eh?

Why does no one upload the original recording of this song without the annoying chipmunks? The 1958 recording.... : (
-
At least one person had their ears ruined by the horridly excessive use of the new ones, and rated this down, that's so sad. :(

This was the begining of the Chipmunks The ablum was released under the name Dave Seville and he speed his voice up for the witch doctor spot and it took off from there.

THAT is the REAL version.

Where did you find a 78 of this song? Or is that a video of a 78, but a 45 soundtrack?

@rkinkead11 It's a 78rpm. I think I've got 3 or 4 copies on 78, and only found 1 copy on 45. Over here in Australia, 78s were still selling well in the late 50s because so many places were still without electricity.

It's an HMV 202 re-entrant, which were made between 1927 & 1931
