  • @TheAgentglover Thanks!

  • Your awesome man! You know your stuff inside out, I'm hitting the Subscribe.

  • @coketherealthing Thank you very much! I really enjoy restoring old synths just about as much as I enjoy playing them.

Thanks again for your kind comment/subscribing! take care,

    Jareth

  • I remember watching a power supply resistor burn up. With regard to the reference oscillator board on my old one, it just went way out of pitch. I thought it may have been a cap gone bad.

  • @kennykeyboard Very possible it was a cap going, there is one tantalum capacitor

(C27 I believe) that likes to short to ground on the reference oscillator board and it will cause the pitch to drift out and eventually die depending on how low the resistance is within the cap. The power supply has a current sens circuit that should have shut the power supply down, may have had an issue with the power supply as well.

    Take care,

    Jareh

  • @Sjobeck7 Haha, more than likely I will not sell my 280a, the thought has came up, but it will be hard for me to see Vox Humana go. If I do decide to sell it, you will be the first I will inform.

Glad to hear you polymoog is still singing, You do have a good date of production on yours.

Thanks again for your comment, I appreciate them very much!

    Take care,

    Jareth
