The plain-line angle is indeed very important, but ultimately you need to keep your head, hands and spine 4-5" behind the ball at all times during the swing. The ball may begin to hook a tad more, but this tip will eliminate your slice. Try it.

amazing exercise!! You keep it simple, and the visuals REALLY outline the swing plane without getting OVERLY technical. Thank you!
I recently switched to a superfast, and I feel like I'm swinging my driver like an iron...funny as you describe that in your explanation!!!
Will be practicing this little drill!

I think I may be taking my arms too high in the back swing, above shoulder height. Your advice to keep them BELOW shoulder height might just work.
On Monday I will try your way.
