St. Bernard Projects - partially demolished

Driving home from UNO Thursday (27 March 2008), I videoed the demolished projects that were still standing that Tuesday (25 March). There were more demolished buildings, but I had to make a turn onto the Interstate and put my phone down. You can't see it in the video, but someone had put a banner up (looked like a bedsheet with painted words) that read "HOUSING IS EVERYONE'S RIGHT!"

I knew it was only a matter of time but I can't belive the St. Bernard is really gone. I lived on Sere St. for 20 years. Despite all the bad shit that went down in there, for the most part, growing up there wasn't so bad. R.I.P. SBP! You will truly be missed.

LOL, Michoud wasn't no different cause back there they had niggaz from every project and every ward back there, Michoud is the only area in the N.O. where Uptown & Downtown niggaz clique up together.

i got a vid on my page from when me and my husband went into the semi-demolished buildings...he lived at 4007 st. bernard for over 10 years..
