  • You know what is the best part of all these comments, Ninja were not actually called Ninja in ancient Japan, they were called Shinobi.

  • there is no evidens of any specific "ninja sword" with straight blade! they simply used a wakizashi with the usual curved blade. a curved blade is very practical when carried on the back because it's much easier to draw than a straight one plus the curve makes it cut better.

  • @Isakkrogh I've heard a few theories about the straight ninja sword. One is that it was simply a straight bush knife, but probably would have been way shorter than a sword. The other is that is wasn't a sword at all, but merely a short staff with a square guard somewhere in the middle, to be used as a makeshift step ladder

  • @hakkuhbijler Why does background have to be "japaneseish" in order to talk about ninja?

    u are being to picky

  • ahh ninja's where assasin's most of them would infiltrate like a soldier or peasant and kill the general or another important person.

  • ninjaken...straight shirt sword?

chinese wooden jian on the wall?

    korean flag on the wall?

the sheath of the sword...sageo instead of saya?

    jep...typical hollywood documentary

  • I found this entertaining until he brought out that straight bullshit sword.

  • I am sorry but this is all wrong.

  • 3:39 Pause.Nice face.

  • sageo is the chord on the saya and saya is the scabard nooooob!!!!!!!!!

  • @123armyoftwo When I think of fighting, I think of Dragonball Z.

  • from what I learned ninjas didn't actually wear black, instead they wore dark blue. Black clothing would cause a silhouette in the dark of night whereas dark blue allowed them to blend in with shadows. The perception of them wearing pitch black clothing actually derives from plays where ninjas would be dressed in all black and jump out in a scene of assassination unexpectedly and shock the crowd.
